MARCEL OFOMATA FOUNDATION: KEEPING THE PROMISE WITH RURAL DWELLERS

The Marcel Ofomata Foundation was founded on ideologies that are people and service centric especially to the rural dwellers. Since inception, the Foundation through her focal programmes and activities has demonstrated commitment to empowering the transformation of humanity for good in many areas including heath, education, women/youths empowerment, sports development, mentorship and Cultural/attitudinal re-orientation among others.

Over the weekend, the Foundation renewed her commitment to offering bi-annual Free Medical Services to dwellers in the rural communities in South Eastern Nigeria where over a THOUSAND people benefited from the free medical outreach in the just concluded 8th Edition of the programme.

Our Medical Professionals offered Free Medical Consultations, General diagnosis, Treatments, Presentation of medications/Hygiene Packs, Checks/regulation of Blood Pressure(s), Presentation of Malaria/Typhoid medications, Medical Referral and other health services in compliance with the NCDC Covid-19 guidelines.

Two communities in Anambra State (Isuofia, Aguata LGA - South and Agulu Town, Anocha LGA - Central) were adopted to decentralize the Free Medical Services on the Day ONE - 14th and Day TWO - 15th August, 2020 respectively.

Since inception, the Foundation have undertaken several intervention programmes in Academic Scholarship (up to University levels), Free revolving seed loan for Women Empowerment, Skills Acquisition Programmes for the youths, Sports Development as seen in the ongoing construction of the state-of-arts Mini Stadium in Isuofia, creation of employment opportunities through the business concerns of the conglomerate, Direct mentorship Scheme for the younger generation and cultural/attitudinal reorientation campaigns among others. These initiatives justifies the Foundation’s commitment to empowering the transformation of humanity for good but more can be achieved with accelerated collaborations.

Meanwhile, Dr Amaechi Marcel Ofomata, Founder, Marcel Ofomata Foundation has expressed profound gratitude on behalf of the leadership of the Foundation to the Nigerian Red Cross (Aguata Division), our Medical Professionals, numerous volunteers for their professional services during the 8th edition of the Free Medical Mission.

The Founder who doubles as the Chairman of AMAECOM GLOBAL LTD has equally expressed appreciation to the Anambra state government, Isuofia/Agulu host communities led by His Royal Majesty, Igwe (Col.) Christopher Muoghalu, Rtd and His Royal Highness Innocent  Obodoakor respectively, the Media parters, the Leadership of Primary Health Care Centres in Ozalla Isuofia and Ifiteani Agulu Communities, the Security, our strategic team and others too numerous to mention.

The foundation in her further bid to servicing humanity is disposed to new mutually beneficial partnerships while remaining committed to training hands, empowering minds and keeping the promise.
