Marcel Ofomata Foundation is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) registered by the Corporate Affairs Commission in Nigeria to advance the milage of philanthropic activities across spectra of human lives within and outside Nigeria and strategically positioned as Amaecom Global Limited’s Special Purpose Vehicle on CSR. The Foundation has assimilative sloganeering: “…training hands, empowering minds” and has changed many lives since inception.
The Foundation is named after the Chairman of Amaecom Group of companies - Dr. Amaechi Marcel Ofomata has since inception taken the bull by the horns in delivering top-notch humanitarian services to the most needy in Nigeria across different human, national and developmental concerns especially in the areas of Free Medical Outreach (since 2015), Academics, Empowerment, Skills Acquisition Programme, Free Revolving Business Loans, Borehole Water Scheme, employment/Wealth creation, Mentorship, Leadership, Training and Advocacies among others although not seeing it gratifying taking cameras to every points of philanthropic services and delivery.
For instance and for purposes of documentation and information, the Foundation has offered Free Annual Medical Missions including free surgeries, diagnosis/treatment, presentation of medications, optometry services, referrals, among others to over Fifteen Thousand (15,000) rural dwellers in different States in South East Nigeria in partnership Imabridge Africa, United States of America since 2015. Equally, the Foundation is sponsoring academic Scholarship up to university level, provision of Millions of Naira Special Academic Grants/Endowment Funds, Free revolving Seed Loan for women, Free Revolving Tricycle Scheme for the Youths, Rural Solar Electrification for Communities in Anambra State, provision of Borehole Water down to the suburbs of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Support to Community Policing, Annual Inter-Town Football Novelty , Seasonal Party, Cultural/Attitudinal Re-orientation through the formation of Marcel Ofomata Foundation Young Dance Crew, institution of different Support Schemes, Mentorship and leadership advocacy among others.
Over One Thousand women, men and children received the free Medical Services in the 2019 edition of the Medical Mission while Fifteen major medical surgeries were also conducted free and many referral services in Isuofia, Igbo-Ukwu, Anambra State and neighboring communities in South East Nigeria. Other free Services rendered include free minor surgeries, diagnosis/treatment, malaria /general body test and treatment, Eye test and presentation of glasses, presentation of antibiotics pearls, referral services and general health services.
Earlier in his welcome address during the 2019 Free Medical Mission, the Founder of the Foundation – Chief (Dr) Amaechi Marcel Ofomata expressed his gratitude to the Imabridge Africa, United States of America for partnering the Marcel Ofomata Foundation in the area of Free Medical Mission stressing that the partnership is worth sustaining for the advancement of humanitarian and health needs of the rural dwellers.
Dr. Ofomata who is equally the Chairman of Amaecom Group of companies also conveyed appreciation on behalf of the Foundation to the Nigerian Medical Doctors, other Health Workers, host communities, government and people of Anambra State, the security, the Media and Strategy Directorate of Marcel Ofomata Foundation, his family and all the Volunteers for their commitment to the services of humanity. The Founder while responding to the press used the occasion to charge the government, international Donor Agencies and other well placed members of the public to partner the Marcel Ofomata Foundation in advancing the health and other needs of the most needy in rural communities.
After the mission, the Marcel Ofomata Foundation and Imabridge Africa, United States of America team were later at the palace of the Igwe of Isuofia – Igwe (Col.) Christopher A. O. Moughalu, rtd to pay a Royal Visit where the Monarch received the team and poured encomiums on the team for continuously solving the health needs of his subjects as facilitated by his illustrious son and a member of his Cabinet – Ichie (Dr)Amaechi Marcel Ofomata while the Team were later hosted to a Thanksgiving/honorary ceremony by the monarch and the host community.
It is therefore worthy to state that Amaecom Global Limited has advance the culture of social contract with the host communities through periodic fulfillment of Corporate Social Responsibilities in addition to the quantum employment opportunities created by the company for the youths through her business concerns as well as general contributions to the national and economic development.
